During the holidays, you’re bound to have a few hiccups in the kitchen, otherwise it wouldn’t be the wonderfully chaotic season that we all know and love, right? Well to take a little bit of the edge off of a cooking emergency, that’s right put the wine bottle down, our friends over at Southern Living put together a helpful video that might as well be a handbook called “How to Avoid a Frazzled Late Night Trip to the Store for Molasses.” Because guess what? Did you know you could substitute brown sugar and cream of tartar for molasses? I know. I didn’t either. And that’s not even all of it. There are ten more tips and tricks for how to survive the holidays this year while running off of what you have in your pantry. Take the panic out of a cooking crisis and trade it in for some easily substituted ingredients instead. Whew! Now doesn’t that feel better?
