The recap: On Sunday night, Food Network Star presented the six remaining contestants with their biggest challenge yet, pitching their potential show to the network and guest judges.  Each finalist got three takes to make a 30-second promo.  They were told that three people would be sent home and three would get to make pilots for the audience to select a winner.  Yvan was chosen from Giada’s team.  Team Bobby’s winner was Michelle.  And in a surprising twist, the network selected both Martie Duncan and Justin from Alton’s team.  They couldn’t decide between Martie and Justin, so both got to make pilots.

In the pilot for “Martie with the Party,” Martie showed how to make an easy, impressive Pickled Citrus Shrimp recipe.  She shared memories of a shrimp-boat date on Mobile Bay, and her mother’s holiday shrimp cocktail.  Martie wrapped up with an invitation to let her “help you turn every occasion into a celebration that you’ll actually enjoy.”  We hope she gets the chance to do just that with her own Food Network show.
