TGIF: Free Honey and Spices
I'm affectionately naming this week's TGIF the "Sweet and Spicy" Giveaway! I love these products because all are necessities in our home. (I eat greek yogurt with honey for breakfast almost every day, and our backyard garden is full of thyme, basil, and rosemary right now.) So, what's up for grabs this week, you ask? Here's what could be coming your way:
-
Peace Honey from Savannah Bee Company (12 oz. Tower)
-
Specialty Honey Sampler from Savannah Bee Company
-
Organic Herb Sampler from TSP Spices
Here's what you need to do for a chance to win ALL 3:
1. “Like” us on Facebook.
2. Describe for us here in 50 words or less your favorite culinary herb or honey, and how you use it in a MyRecipes recipe. Entries should be typed into the comments field of this blog post. Entries are due by Monday, November 1, at 11:59 a.m. EST.
Good luck, and thanks to Heather (winner of the Pretty Princess Giveaway) for her kid-friendly party tip:
"I like to serve kid-friendly foods that can be "customized" with toppings to each person's taste: tacos, baked potato bar, burger sliders. Fruit or vegetable kebabs with lowfat dip are a big hit, too."

I love to use fresh Rosemary & Thyme with a freshly squeezed lemon stuffed in my whole chicken. It really brings out the flavor.
Our two favorite things to use while cooking honey & rosemary! We make the honey roasted roots dish from myrecipes.com & herbed potatoes on rosemary kabobs!
Fresh rosemary and fresh parsley! I love to use them in the My Receipes recipe for turkey burgers with goat cheese… just those two herbs turn something that I used to think was bland and boring into something unbelievably delicious! My picky husband loves them, and they’re one of my picky daughter’s favorite meals. That recipe made with those fresh herbs would convert almost any ground turkey hater into a fan!
I am a honey connoisseur! We love Honey-Ginger Glazed Salmon with Arugula Salad. The honey makes a superb glaze while the lemon and ginger give it a kick! This recipe is so light, fresh, and really good for you.
We love honey on toast with butter and we love cooking with fresh basil. We use it as a garnish or sprinkle it on top of Italian dishes. It grows well where we live and we always have fresh basil available — and it makes great pesto!
Savorique.com is a huge fan of Savannah Bee Honey. In particular their Tupelo honey is very popular. And they’re delivered with free shipping at http://www.savorique.com/m-69-Savannah-Bee.aspx
