Kid-Friendly St. Patrick’s Day Snack

Restaurants are saying goodbye to French fries and hello to more snackable items as sides, like tater tots, potato crisps, and, our favorite, tempura green beans.

Serving tempura green beans is almost like providing your kiddos training wheels when trying to expand their limited, or resistant, palate.

This recipe is super easy and fun to dip.

Our preferred dip has a mild kick, so dial the cayenne all the way back if your little one is anti-spice.

While tempura green beans aren’t as healthful as, say, a bowl of fruit salad or greens, this recipe is the one to try because it uses club soda. The bubble in the beverage discourage oil absorption, meaning a lighter fry and a crispier coating without all the added fat.

Looking for more greens to dip? Try our kale chips.

Happy dipping!
