Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about going vegan. Maybe you’ve tried it for a few days, a week, or perhaps you’ve been vegan for years. While all diets have different caveats, the vegan diet is very simple. No meat and no animal products whatsoever. That list of no-no’s includes items such as eggs, milk, cheese, and honey. Yes, even honey.
When I first learned about the vegan diet, I thought it was a little strange. Why on Earth would someone voluntarily give up some the yummiest foods? (Think cheeseburgers, pepperoni pizza, or milkshakes…) But when I delved further into it, and even learned how to make a few vegan recipes of my own, I realized that you really aren’t giving up anything when you choose vegan recipes. Nowadays, I’m a huge fan of vegan food because not only does it leave animals out of the equation, but you can achieve some extremely amazing flavors and dishes from plant-based foods, and such a choice can come with very sweet benefits. She was the very first vegan to ever win a Food Network competition.
