Strawberry Tart with Quinoa-Almond Crust

Oh, boy…. hang on to your seats ladies and gentlemen, because we’ve got quite the strawberry extravaganza for you to partake in today. Because Summer is the perfect time to revel in all of the great produce and delicious fruit that are in season, it’s only natural to also enjoy the fantastic desserts that are just as much a part of Summer as fresh iced tea and suntan lotion.  As much as I love strawberries just as they are with no bells or whistles, they’re also great, if not better, when they’re featured in some of these amazing dessert recipes that are just as beautiful as they are delicious.

Strawberry Cream Pie

Strawberry tarts and pies are such great Summer desserts. It’s like they have their own orbits and people just gravitate to them as soon as the warm weather hits. The tart featured at the top features a crispy quinoa and almond crust, which is perfect for added texture. If cocoa is your thing, a chocolate crust is just the ticket. Strawberries and chocolate have always been a hit together. It’s like they were made for each other. So for this cream pie featured above, the dark chocolate crust adds an extra component of richness and decadence that compliments the sweet and tangy strawberries perfectly. Are you getting hungry yet? Just keep piling on the strawberries…

Of course, after a few bites of a strawberry tart or a cream pie, you’ll need to wash it down with something refreshing, right? Look no further than strawberry milk, made with actual fresh strawberries, the key ingredient. If this wasn’t enough of an excuse to enjoy an adorable pink drink, have you ever wanted to use those cute little paper straws? Well, there’s no day like today. Those cute straws aren’t only for special occasions you know, although lately they are a huge hit at weddings.

Aren't they cute?

Aren’t they cute?

Of course, where would we be without some scrumptious strawberry ice cream!? We’re approaching the first day of Summer after all, and it’s gonna get hot, so we might as well be prepared for it, right? Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner in ice cream confections, you can find a great ice cream recipe that works for you this Summer. One of our favorites is a classic Strawberry-Basil Ice Cream, which features only 8 ingredients, including fresh strawberries and basil, naturally.
