The Game Plan: Big Score, Little Food

Happy Halloween my football-loving friends! What’s really scary is that we are already in week 10 of college football. With only a handful of regular season games left, it’s time to turn up the dial on game-day festivities and relish in what us southern folks believe is truly the best time of the year. This Saturday, ESPN College GameDay is heading to Morgantown, West Virginia for only the second time in history to watch West Virginia match up with Texas Christian University at 3:30 p.m. ET, airing on ABC.

Since graduating to the Big 12 two years ago, both teams have suffered a few tough seasons but have recently exceeded expectations with TCU having only one loss (Baylor) this season and West Virginia taking two (Oklahoma, Alabama). Presently, TCU leads the country in scoring with an average of 50.4 points per game and WVU isn’t far behind, averaging 40.3 points per game at home.

All that said, we are betting that this will be one action-packed, high-scoring ball game. And because you’ll be jumping out of your chair (or off your couch) for each touchdown, we’ve planned an easy-to-handle menu of tailgating finger foods. These bites are big on flavor, perfectly portioned, but most importantly, they leave one hand free for high-fiving and fist-pumping. So whether you’re pulling for the Mountaineers or the Horned Frogs, that’s something we all can appreciate. Enjoy!

Get started early with a little breakfast:
