Cake of the Week: Caramel Apple Coffee Cake

I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for caramel apple everything. It’s officially fall, and it’s actually starting to feel like it. It’s definitely my favorite time of the year and I love all the flavors and combinations that come with it.

One of my favorite fall flavor combinations: caramel apple. I think there are at least eight caramel-apple-themed recipes on my to-bake list. This Caramel Apple Coffee Cake is at the top!


There may be several steps in the instructions, but as you can see from the comments, this coffee cake is worth the time and effort. I mean look at it! With all that streusel, those baked apples and the drizzly caramel, what’s not to love? The directions say to reserve a half cup of the caramel sauce for another use. I would just go ahead and slather it on the cake, or eat it with a spoon. Either way, this cake is perfect for breakfast, dessert, and pretty much any time of the day. And it’s especially good with your morning coffee.
