Welcome, Summer!

Have you ever walked into the grocery store only to instantly become inspired to try a new recipe, reference your cell phone to search for it, (in theory this seems simple) but then that terrible moment happens when 6% battery and a spotty Wi-Fi connection starts to absolutely crush all of your hope? Talk about stressful.

Thankfully, this crisis narrowly escaped me as I fled the store with 3% battery and ingredients for a must-try dessert–a cool, creamy, and only 5-ingredient recipe for peanut butter pie.

trishs-peanut-butter-pieWelcoming this tasty pastry to my dinner table means only one thing: Summer is officially HERE! This afternoon, I plan on soaking up the lengthy period of incandescent summer daylight and then indulging in another large (and delicious!) slice of Trish’s Peanut Butter Pie.

It’s that magical time of year where the days seem longer, the backyard barbecues are frequent, and the carefree, yet somehow still ambitious attitude to try new things, kicks in. If trying a new recipe (or 10) is on your to-do list, let these Summer Cookout recipes inspire you:
