Cake of the Week: Red Velvet Cupcakes

With snow, ice and frigid temperatures covering much of the country today,  we suggest just owning the weather and making some cupcakes with white chocolate snowflakes on top.  (Aren’t white chocolate snowflakes way better than the real ones?)  So if it’s too cold to go outside in your neighborhood,  stay near the oven and bake. If you need to eat more than one of these cute cupcakes after they’re decorated,  we promise not to tell.  And it won’t matter because you’ll be covering yourself up with a bulky sweater and heavy overcoat anyway.

Join the cause and challenge the cold weather with red velvet cake  and white chocolate frosting laced with amaretto. Since you’ll have the amaretto out of the cabinet, make yourself a cup of Spiced Coffee with Cinnamon Whipped Cream to go with your cupcake.  We might actually start liking this weather.
