I love chocolate chip cookies, so I knew this recipe would be a perfect one to test for the new MyRecipes cookbook!
They were really fun to make. I was surprised that the recipe said it would make 5 dozen cookies, but it was right! Luckily my friends at the office were happy to help me eat those extras.
One night, I got all my ingredients together and got started.
Luckily, I have double ovens, so I was able to keep batch after batch going in the oven and other batches cooled on cookie racks.
See all those hunks of chocolate? Yum! I’m a big chocolate chip cookie fan. Normally I never love my cooking. Once I’ve cooked something, I don’t necessarily love it, but these were really good! I think the dark brown sugar in the recipe made them extra special. The recipe didn’t call for nuts, but I can see how you’d easily add them.
My son, a middle schooler, told me these were “the haps”, which I’m told is high praise.
I took the extra cookies to work and by mid afternoon every one was gone. This chocolate chip cookie recipe is a winner!
