November 18, 2010 | By | Comments (69)

VD9172[1] Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas tradition I learned of through my nieces. Every year around Thanksgiving, their personal elves arrive back at their house from the North Pole to keep watch and report back to Santa on whether they've been naughty or nice. This story was so intriguing (and fun!), we thought you'd love a chance to win your own!

This week's Elf Package is amazing! It includes:

1. The Elf on the Shelf storybook and elf
2. The Elf on the Shelf Christmas Activity Book (with sing-a-long music CD and sticker pages)
3. AND The Elf on the Shelf large plush toy!

Here's all you need to do to win this fabulous prize for you family! Describe for us here in 50 words or less what treats you leave for Santa on Christmas Eve. Entries should be typed into the comments field of this blog post. Entries are due by Monday, November 22, at 11:59 p.m. EST. See a full list of contest rules here.

And because we can't enter this cute contest, here's what we serve Santa and his little helpers, Elf Biscuits!

it has always been a family project, with my homemade almond butter cookies, everyone has a job. We must roll out cut n cook, frost them, and decorate them “just right” the anglessparkle, and reindeer decorated with the bright red nose…
And because it is Jesus’ birthdat- we leave Santa and his reindee a prayer for safe travels and fun throughout the night.

We leave homemade sugar cookies (decorated to look like each family member including pets) and cold milk. The reindeer receive carrots & water. The reindeer actually come in our homr to get their snack. We know this because they leave hoof prints behind!

My whole family gets to baking on Christmas Eve and I love it! I work on peanut butter balls, my Dad takes care of the fudge, my brother helps with the coconut and sugar cookies, and my mom takes care of the Christmas Eve feast! With this being my first Christmas married, I can’t wait to continue the tradition with my husband!

Santa was cold and needed to warm up so we would l leave him a Manhattan or a Highball (Whiskey and 7-up) along with a delicious corned beef cheese ball rolled in nuts. We would also set out crackers for his reindeer.

We leave the reindeer oatmeal and snow dust (glitter) outside so they can find our house. The outside we have a bowl of water and carrots for the reindeer to eat while Santa comes inside. Inside we have a plate of a variety of homemade cookies and cupcakes since those are the kids favorite! and milk and coffee. We know he comes because there are footprints left behind. We also make Santa a little lunch bag to take with him on his trip to the other houses. Santa leaves us a note thanking us for these gifts.

Each Christmas we leave a special Santa plate with delicious chocolate chip cookies with walnuts because those are “Santa’s” favorites and a glass of milk. We can tell he really likes them because he eats them all gone and leaves a special note to thank us for our treats!
