TGIF: Little Princess Giveaway
With a husband who hunts and fishes and a little boy who loves to play with trucks, there is not much room for glitter and tiaras in our house. But if you have a pretty princess in your home, you'll love this week's TGIF. We're giving away a Princess Party Cookbook AND a Stephen Joseph Snack Sac.
With over 100 recipes and cutesy ideas, your little princess will have the best party ever! Or, skip the party and have a fun-filled mother/daughter day together.
Then send her off to school with this oh-so-sweet insulated lunch sac (with cute cards for notes from mommy).
Here's your chance to win BOTH of these princess prizes.
1. “Like” us on Facebook.
2. Describe for us here in 50 words or less the best foods to serve at a kid-friendly party. Entries should be typed into the comments field of this blog post. Entries are due by Monday, October 25 at 11:59 a.m. EST.
Editors will select their favorite tip based on originality, creativity, and how well you address our question. Winner will be notified via email by October 29, 2010. For full contest rules, click here.
And, thanks to Tiffiny, winner of The CarbLovers Diet book, for her healthy book-winning tip:
"Eat in moderation. It is not necessary to eliminate everything you like and drive yourself crazy. But eat the unhealthy things in moderation so you wont over do it when you finally eat that piece of cake or pizza you desire."

My kids love hummus and pita chips or veggies. It is so easy to make and they eat it up!
I like to serve kid-friendly foods that can be “customized” with toppings to each person’s taste: tacos, baked potato bar, burger sliders. Fruit or vegetable kebabs with lowfat dip are a big hit, too.
My girlfriend makes the best pesto chicken pasta ever!! And she got the recipe from this book!
