Happy Hour: New Home Sweet Home
Last week Glenn and I closed on our new house (hooray!!).
When I came back to the office after signing my name 700 times, the MyRecipes team was ready to toast my new place with a shot of Veev. This liqueur made with acai berries is sweet, tart, and delicious. I don't know how well the superfood qualities of acai translate to spirits, but the berry's flavor makes the transition beautifully.
I was completely sold on Veev after trying their basil gimlet recipe. The brightly flavored liqueur with fresh basil and shot of lime are irresistible on a summer afternoon.
Veev Basil Gimlet
- 2 ounces Veev Acai Spirit
- 4 fresh basil leaves
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
Tear 3 basil leaves to release oils and drop into a cocktail shaker. Shake all ingredients well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the remaining basil leaf.
Cheers!
