Nothing says “Southern” like fried food and creamy cheese grits, so why not combine the two and consider yourself a Deep-South connoisseur. Atlanta, Georgia’s OK Café did just that, deep frying the triangle-shaped breakfast classic and serving it with a jalapeno cheese dipping sauce at all hours of day and night. You’ve got to taste this infamous appetizer, but go early if you visit on a weekend. The wait is long, but the taste of this deep-fried dish is oh-so worth it.
